ProBSD Networks provides free unix shell and web hosting services. ProBSD Networks has certain legal and ethical
responsibilities regarding the use of its computer network and equipment involved in these services.
ProBSD Networks general policy is to act as a neutral provider of access to the global Internet. ProBSD Networks reserves
the right to suspend or cancel a users access to any or all services provided by ProBSD Networks when ProBSD Networks
decides that the account has been used inappropriately.
Specific Acceptable Use Policies
Shell Account Policies
A) Participation in denial of service attacks from ProBSD Networks’ servers is strictly prohibited.
B) The user is responsible for all denial of service attacks they may receive and must try their best to prevent such occurrences.
If a user is found to be receiving denial of service attacks frequently their account may be suspended or cancelled at the
discretion of ProBSD Networks’ management.
C) There are to be no war, xdcc, takeover, mech or abusive bots run on ProBSD Networks’ servers
D) Eggdrop bots may only be run on servers that specifically allow them.
E) There is to be only one connection per process connecting to irc excluding bnc connections which can have 2 maximum.
F) We do not permit shoutcast servers, any type of game/mud servers, or any processes that consume a large amount of bandwidth
and/or system resources to be run from ProBSD Networks’ servers.
G) No evading (trespassing) g/k/d lines on ANY network. Any users found doing so will have their account suspended/removed immediately.
Use of Our Servers
Web sites and shell accounts are to be used by the primary owner only. Users are not permitted to resell, store, or give away web
hosting services off of their web site to other parties. Web hosting services are defined as allowing a separate, third party to
host content on the owner’s web site. Exceptions to this include ad banners, classified ads, and personal ads.
Unauthorized Use of Other People’s Accounts or Computers
ProBSD Networks will strongly react to any use or attempted use of an internet account or computer without the owner’s authorization.
Such attempts include tricking other people into releasing their passwords, password cracking, security hole scanning etc…
Any unauthorized use of accounts or computers by a ProBSD Networks user, whether or not the attacked account or computer belongs
to ProBSD Networks, will result in action against the attacker. Possible actions include warnings, account suspension or
cancellation, and civil or criminal legal action, according to the seriousness of the attack.
Commercial Advertisements with E-mail - Spamming
Unsolicited commercial advertisements are not allowed in e-mail, and will likely result in account suspension or cancellation.
Commercial advertisements are unwelcome in most usenet discussion groups and on most e-mail mailing lists. Inappropriate posting
may result in account suspension or cancellation. See the newsgroup or mailing lists charter for whether advertising is allowed
or not. Spamming, or sending a message to many different off-topic newsgroups, is particularly unethical and will be treated as such.
Lawful Purpose
ProBSD Networks reserves the right to refuse service to anyone. USers may only use ProBSD Networks’ servers for lawful purposes.
Transmission of any material in violation of any federal, state or local regulation is prohibited. This includes, but is not
limited to copyrighted material, material legally judged to be threatening or obscene, and material protected by trade secrets.
ProBSD Networks expressly forbids anyone from using ProBSD Networks’ servers for the propagation, distribution, housing,
processing, storing, or otherwise handling in any way lewd, obscene, satanic materials. The designation of any materials as such
described above is left entirely to the discretion of the ProBSD Networks’ management.
ProBSD Networks is intended for the end user only. Users cannot sublease, subhost, or give away control of any portion of
ProBSD Networks’ resources. Doing so could result in immediate account cancellation.
Indemnification
User agrees that it shall defend, indemnify, save and hold ProBSD Networks harmless from any and all demands, liabilities, losses,
costs and claims, including reasonable attorney’s fees asserted against ProBSD Networks, its agents, its users, officers and
employees, that may arise or result from any service provided or performed or agreed to be performed or any product sold by
customer, its agents, employees or assigns. User agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless ProBSD Networks against
liabilities arising out of; (1) any injury to person or property caused by any products sold or otherwise distributed in
connection with ProBSD Networks’ servers;(2) any material supplied by user infringing or allegedly infringing on the proprietary
rights of a third party; (3) copyright infringement and (4) any defective products sold to customer from ProBSD Networks’ servers.

ProBSD Networks will not be responsible for any damages you may suffer. ProBSD Networks makes no warranties of any kind,
expressed or implied for services we provide. ProBSD Networks disclaims any warranty or merchantability or fitness for a
particular purpose. This includes loss of data resulting from delays, nondeliveries, wrong delivery, and any and all service
interruptions caused by ProBSD Networks and its employees. ProBSD Networks makes no warranty on the privacy of information
such as name, e-mail address or IP address. ProBSD Networks reserves the right to revise its policies and services at any time
without notification.
